Good Afternoon Committee Members,

I wanted to advise you that I have updated the agenda to include Assemblyman Gatto’s office request to provide an overview of AB1616 and also seek feedback from the coalition.

Due to the number of agenda items we will need to skip lunch; however, we will have pastries, fruit, and other small food snacks available to keep your tummy’s satisfied.

Attached are the meeting notes from our coalition meeting held on October 26, 2011 – great big thanks to Stacey!

There are two additional attachments for your review:

• Proposed language changes discussed during the Oct 26^th meeting – includes language that was discussed (see minutes)

• Proposed language changes approved during the July 28^th meeting – need to determine if a “veto” vote will be exercised

The following individuals are identified as the representatives authorized to exercise a veto vote on behalf of the constituencies they represent:

• CDPH – Susan Strong

• CCDEH – Jack Miller; Elizabeth Morgan

• Restaurants – Lara Dunbar

• Lodging Association – Randi Knott

• CRA/CGA – Pamela Williams/Tim James

• Farmer’s Market – Dan Best

• Mobile Units/Fairs – Alan Jeffrey/Denny Thompson

Action Items:

1. Committee members review the attached proposed changes presented during the October 26 meeting. If there are any representatives that do not approve of the language, please email me by no later than November 28, 2011.

2. Committee members authorized to exercise a veto vote – please review the attached language that was approved in July by the membership and notify me by no later than November 28, 2011 if you will be exercising your vote on any of the proposed recommended language changes.

The membership will be provided with a  summary of all proposed language changes that will become part of a spot bill for next year’s legislative session after this vote.
